As an independent mortgage & loan broker since 2004, I have helped thousands of clients reach their unique real estate financing and business building goals. It’s my job, pleasure and priority to make sure I educate my clients and bring them the best financing options on the market to match their current and future goals! ”
Over 55% of my business comes from past clients and referrals.
I’m not like the big banks where every time you want to review your mortgage you get another person. I like to focus on building a direct relationship year after year with my clients.
My availability is flexible, I believe in working with clients’ schedules by taking phone calls, emails or text messages throughout the day and sometimes at very odd times.
I prefer to do annual (sometimes semi-annual) reviews with clients to make sure they are still on the right track to reaching their goals.
Over the years, I have enjoyed writing dozens of articles that have been published in news-stand magazines and various other publications. These articles educate Canadians & foreign investors on the diverse mortgage & loan products available for all types of client credit, income profiles & situations where mortgage financing is needed. I tend to explain my writing style as; "I'm just relaying the fundamental mortgage & loan principals that should be taught in high school before learning how to dissect frogs and solving calculus equations!"
In 2015 I wrote a book called, “Leverage Your Best Option" which has received excellent reviews from financial gurus and consumers. Canada’s largest mortgage broker network is also using this book as a training manual to train mortgage brokers across the country!
Inspiring The Next Generation
I am working on a new project called, Teen Global Wealth, which is a non-profit that inspires teens globally on many issues that teens are faced with as they prepare themselves to take on the real world. I am a regular co-host on the Teen Global Wealth’s weekly radio program that launched in January 2016. On this program I provide educational information for teens on how to be aware of their financial footprint and how to take steps to make sure they will reach their personal, academic and financing goals without looking back.
When I was in grade 5, I committed to working six or more hours a week; I had a large paper route for over 5 years as a child and at times on weekends, I would help my older brother with his carpet installing business. As time moved forward I was also very actively employed in the community by several neighbors; I completed many jobs that entailed all types of landscaping, carpentry and upholstery. I was also competitive in many sports and won awards on the regional and provincial levels for track. In my adult life, I excelled in a wide range of industries, including being a co-founder of a video production and a renovation company. In construction I became a certified red-seal ticketed journeyman tradesmen, a project manager for a number of years and a founder of an import/export modular housing business. Due to my very diverse working history, I am able to relate, understand and help out clients on a more unique level especially when it comes to clients undergoing renovations or the self-employed.
Besides work, I live an active lifestyle with regular visits to the gym. I enjoy a wide-range of outdoor activities and traveling. I am happily married and father to two daughters. I believe a true balance of work and family are important.
